When a user visits a page in a shared session, our Sesh service downloads the desired page, does a few manipulations and serves it up to all participants. This allows multiple users to communicate live online with a guaranteed same view as if they were face-to-face chatting and gesturing with their hands, sharing the products or other content they are viewing as they explore the site. Sesh applications are Web pages activated through the retailer's site by a small amount of embedded JavaScript, so there is no need for consumers to download software or use a specific browser. Users are connected with friends of their choosing and each user opts in before any information is shared.
