What happened to all my drawings? They just disappeared!

Most likely, you selected the mouse pointer, and the drawings only temporarily disappeared.
Whenever the mouse pointer is selected from the Sesh™ Communication tool bar, all Sesher markings and notes temporarily disappear so that you can view the underlying webpage without any obstructions.

The drawings and notes will reappear when you switch to the Marker, Paintbrush or Note mouse tools. They will also automatically reappear when another Sesher makes a drawing action or inserts a Note.

Note: when you are in mouse pointer mode, the existing drawings and Notes are still visible to the other Seshers in their web browsers. The markings disappear only on your screen.

When I draw on top of webpages, am I defacing or permanently altering them?

No, don't worry, you are not altering the actual underlying webpage being displayed in the Sesh™.

The drawings and Notes you insert during a Sesh™ are not made on the webpage itself. They only appear during a Sesh™ in each Sesher's web browser. So rest assured, you can markup webpages and photos all you want; the markings are only visible to others who are in your Sesh™ at that moment. In fact, the markings even disappear when you navigate to a new webpage in the Sesh™ when you return with your fellow Seshers to the initial webpage, the markings will be gone.

How does the "Notes" feature work?

Notes is a quick, easy way to discuss or label what you're seeing in your Sesh™.

To insert a note:
1.Click on the Note icon in the Sesh™ Communication mouse tools. Your cursor will be replaced by a Note.
2.Drop a Note by clicking the location on the screen where you want to place the Note.
3.START TYPING. The "Just start typing" instruction will automatically disappear. Do not click again on the note after placing it; simply start typing. If you don't type anything, the Note will automatically disappear.

The Note appears in the color of the Sesher who placed it. When the Note is being first typed into, the other Seshers will initially see the message "[name of Sesher] is typing." The message will then be replaced by the text typed in by the Sesher.

Once a Note is left idle for a few seconds, it fades and shrinks. The Note can be maximized by moving cursor over the Note. Click inside a faded note to add more text.

To delete a Note, click on the "x" on the top right of the Note. You need to have selected the "Note" icon (i.e., be in Note mode) in order to delete the Note.

Any Sesher can type into the Note once it is placed. The color of the Note will automatically change to reflect the color of the Sesher who last typed inside the Note.

Sesh rooms

Who has access to my Sesh room?

No one can access your Sesh™ room until you have unlocked it and you are inside the room. After you have unlocked the room, the door remains unlocked and others can enter it by going to the room URL. When the owner leaves the room, everyone is automatically evacuated and the door automatically locks. Also, while the owner is in the room, the owner (or another Sesher in the room with him or her) may restrict access to the room by removing any remaining open seats, or by kicking out the other Seshers from the room by removing their seats.

If a room owner has registered with Sesh™ by providing his email address, then his Sesh™ room is permanent, and can be returned to at any time in the future by simply going to the URL assigned to the room (which is typically a variation of the owner's name). If the room is a temporary room, then the room is disabled at the end of the Sesh™, and it cannot be returned to.

A Sesh™ room remains locked until the owner unlocks it:

1. To unlock a room, the owner must click on the "Unlock" button.

2. The owner then types in his password to unlock the room.

Automatically signing in to my Sesh room

If you sign into your Sesh™ room at your Sesh™ room URL (i.e., "the doorknob page"), you do not need to type in your password if you are using the same computer on which you previously had a Sesh™. You need only click on the "To Unlock" button.

By default, your password is stored in a cookie on your computer for 2 weeks.

Note: Your password cookie is stored only on your computer; if your room is accessed by you or others from other computers, your password is still required to unlock the room.

You can delete the cookie by clicking on the "Sign Out" button when you exit the room:

1. Click on "Exit"

2. Click on "Sign Out"

How do I restrict access to my Sesh room?

No one can access your Sesh™ room unless you have unlocked it and are currently in the room.

Once you are in the room, you can remove any seat by clicking on the "x" to the right of the seat:

How do I buy something from a retailer website during a Sesh?

To purchase something from a retailer website (e.g., Amazon.com or JCPenney.com) that you are looking at in a Sesh™, you can use our "Popout" feature. The Popout feature opens the current webpage outside the Sesh™ for private viewing. You can then add the items to your shopping cart, and display or enter your payment information, with no involvement of Sesh.com or other Seshers. Close the private webpage to return to the Sesh™. Repeat to add other items. When ready to conclude your purchase, popout and proceed to the retailer's checkout process.

To purchase a product from an online retailer website:

Click the Popout button on the Sesh™ Dashboard.
